Age Really Does Matter

When it comes to driving, how old you are factors into what you can and cannot do. If you think about it for a bit, you will understand why. The younger you are, the less life experience you have. That’s why we have these sixteen and eighteen year old age restrictions. You may be forced make important decisions based on your limited experience; consequently, you may end up making some wrong decisions. The purpose of the Learner’s License process is to help ease younger drivers into full-time, unrestricted driving. You do this by experiencing, firsthand, the challenges waiting for you out on the roads. Now, does every driver under the age of eighteen lack the maturity to become a safe driver? Not at all! But again, it’s more about experience and time on the road and not about maturity and age.
